Fishwick Family Makes Generous Gift to
First Tee – Roanoke Valley
ROANOKE, VA (March 10, 2017)
Thanks to a generous gift from John and Jeanne Fishwick, First Tee – Roanoke Valley has renovated their instructional tee line.
A new TurfHound synthetic range surface has been installed. TurfHound products have rapidly become recognized as the most realistic, versatile and durable surfaces in golf and can be found as such notable course as Pebble Beach, Country Club of Virginia and PGA National Resort. TurfHound Tee Surfaces allow golfers to experience the same swing mechanics, ball response and shot results hitting from synthetic turf as they would from natural turf.
In making this gift John Fishwick said, ” First Tee is a great organization that teaches kids from all economic backgrounds the game of golf and more importantly many life skills. We are honored to help an organization with such a positive impact on our community.” The Fishwick’s son, Richard has been a volunteer at First Tee and is currently a member of the Emory and Henry College golf team.
Coach Bill Rader, PGA lead instructor at First Tee – Roanoke Valley says, “Our new tee line is AWESOME! It’s a safe and realistic place for children to learn – we are so grateful for the Fishwick family’s support.”
